The World of Khaas is the dangerous and mysterious realm of David Hargrave, the creator of the well known (some say infamous) Arduin Grimoires. While David Hargrave has passed on, a few others have kept the path to Arduin clear and torches brightly lit in the darkness.
Emperors Choice Games and Miniatures Corp is a company owned and operated by a small partnership of Arduin fans and gamers. In the industry for over eight years, they have strived to ensure David Hargrave's previous works, and the new works based on his ideas and world are available to fans new and old alike. They have compiled the massive book, the World of Khaas, Legendary Lands of Arduin, in order to display the fabulous and deadly world of Khaas. Appealing to new fans as well as old, this volume portrays, for the first time, the true breadth of David Hargrave's world.
I'll be running 3 games in 4-6 hour slots at RavenCon in Richmond, VA for those interested in getting into an Arduin game. I may run more if additional people show up to play. Shoot an email to me if you are interested, at monty (at) worldofkhaas (dot) com.
My series of Arduin Eternal articles concerning the new game system from Emperors Choice is delayed but I'm happy to note the start of a contest on the empcho website. I've also uploaded the beginning to an old tale I wrote several years ago. If you are interested, you can find it by clicking here.
You can also find out some details about the Water Fall of Five Worlds by following the link as well. It makes for an interesting place to make things happen. I'm working on finding my notes for the two gaming groups that have managed to make their way there. I believe it will make a nice tale to share.
Released 40 more updates to the Gazetteer. I'm also planning a series of Arduin Eternal articles concerning the new game system from Emperors Choice.
Released 300 updates to the Gazetteer. Added more campaign information and started an expansion into the Country of Saast. You can access it via the link on the side or by clicking here. I'll be adding in links to country expansions for Viruelandia, Ithalos, Khorsar, Falohyr, Talafar and Arduin in the months to come. Also, I'll be cleaning out and updating all CA and classic Grimoire game mechanics to the new Arduin Eternal system.
HEROCON finals. A great time was had at HEROCON in Glen Burnie, Maryland. A few brave souls dared the spirit haunted insides of the Gaol, the blood-soaked bogeyman prison where the sick rulers of the Margalen line of Arduin fame interred those they wanted to disappear but not kill. A short synopsis of the game session can be found here, on the Arduin website. The link goes to their forum and if you are not a member, you will need to log in to access it.
HEROCON update. An open Arduin Eternal game will be held at HEROCON in Glen Burnie, Maryland on Veterans Day Weeekend (10 - 12 Nov). For those interested in attending this convention or just getting a sneak peak into the new game system, please register via their website Herocon website. Registration is a mere $5 for all 3 days. At least one game is scheduled with the possibility of two or more depending on interest. If you are in the area, please drop by and check out the fun!
Its been too long since my last update. Keeping apace with the Arduin Eternal playtest and work has kept me busy in more ways than I can explain. Regardless, I spent some time hunting down updates and I have a massive update of 500 entries to the gazetteer and some articles in the works. Keep posted for word on when this will be live.
I've yanked out the old news and information to make way for the new. Its been a long road working on the new Arduin Eternal game system but its finally in play test. For those who missed the big hurrah about it you can still find out all the good info and keep tabs on it by going to www.arduin.com.
