Eastern Seas - Another name for the Orichalcum Ocean.

Edrun (Black Axe) - More dwarf than troll but hated equally by both races and nearly every other being on Khaas.   In Arduin he found a home and companions who looked beyond his skin and heritage.  When one of them called, he came to the Vale of Athiqui, bearing his axe of deep black adamantium.  While he fell during the charge into the hell that had gripped the vale, it was his bravery and iron will that kept the charge going in the beginning, when the great mass of the enemy was revealed.  With his zeal, the nineteen of that famous charge would have faltered before they had began.

Eldarin - Literally, the constructed language taught to the First Born by the Kthoi in the ages old past during their time of dominion. The Kthoi created this tongue as a subset of their own tongue, "dummied down" so their slaves could understand and utilize some of the same powers they did innately. It served as the base for most native languages to Khaas. Rarely heard in casual, this tongue is considered the language of power, magik, and technology.

Elf Hold - Like its brother the Weeping Woods, during the Nexus Wars Elven arrows and keen blades drenched the green coat of the forest red with blood and wet with tears. Those who held to its boughs swore they would not fail in their dedication to Arduin—even death would be no barrier to their zeal. Hence, they fought endless battle after battle, using blade and bow, then later magic to fulfill the call of duty. ‘Arduin—Elven Forever!’ was the battle cry under the leafy branches of the trees. When the great citadel of the Elven nation fell in the Nexus Wars, the few lone Elves that held to the forest cried out to the night in sorrow—and then again in hate and burning anger. The power of their oaths and grief at their failure to uphold them is a burning sorrow every Elf knows, understanding that their kin forswore eternity for undeath—and Elves equally understand the duty, which cries out for them to lay the doomed to an eternal rest. This broad expanse of forest ranges over 15 miles long and 40 miles wide, lying north of the Weeping Wood and the God’s Spine Mountains and to the south of the Howling Forest. The forest is thick with pine, oak, elm, redwood, maple, weeping willows, beech, and cedar. It is a growing, primal place full of plants, animals, and natural features such as streams, waterfalls, and exotic rock formations. The whole length of the forest, while bright, beautiful, and vivacious, is well known to seem dark, ominous, and brooding to non-Elves. Something lingers in the air, a menace unformed and unseen yet tangible.

Elf-Human War - The first 100 years of the Nexus Wars are often referred to as the Elf-Human War.  This is mainly due to the multitude of attacks by the primarily Human nations on the Elven Kingdom of Arduin.

Elgin of Ridgetown -  A trader of some note, mainly for his ability to get goods quickly from Talafar into Arduin.  Also well regarded for his very detailed knowledge of spirits of the air and is said to have a demiurge as a blood brother (whatever that means).

Eliadolyn - Another name for Ethril, which in Elven means the "Kiss of Death". The oldest Elven legends speak of this hateful metal and curse its existence as it has sealed the doom of some of their greatest and brightest shining heroes and heroines.

Elisetti dne Outhor - An adventurer of some repute, dramatized in song for his bond to his brothers and the sacrifice he made to save their souls.

Elric (King Elric) - The famous hero and adventurer: an Elven noble of the House of the Dragon Tower in Arduin, who had led the forefront of the Great Cleansing in Arduin.  For his acts of courage and dedication to Arduin, Elric was crowned king following the scourge.  Elric’s reign as King of Arduin lasted 364 years and was a time of healing and wonders, though not without its hardships.

Emerald Star Cult -  This pantheon covers the entire group of the Celtic (and Irish) gods and goddesses with all their attributes, follies, mystery, and differences. They have very few followers scattered worldwide with a majority concentrated in Arduin, Falohyr, Morvaen, and Tharkhala. Many bards and Rune Singers follow these deities.

Endwinter - This is a three-day long festival lasting from the ninth to the 11th of Torvaen, and on each day one of the moons is dominant in the sky. On the ninth, the red moon is swollen and fat in the sky; on the tenth day, the brilliant blue moons shines in all glory, and on the final night, the large silver moon sends brilliant rays down to the land. At any rate, the three-day long festival is an even greater blow out than any of the previous festivals of the year, with many contests, races, all sorts of prizes, tons of food, drink and the highest rate of impregnation throughout the year.

End Year - The five days of Tai Taowyn that is the time between the old year and the starting of the new.  This time accounts for the five missing days in the Khaasian calendar and is a special time in all cultures.  There is a grand festival in civilized and barbaric parts (more information in the next entry).

End Year Festival - These five days (Tai Taowyn) are equivalent to Mardi Gras, Oktoberfest and Carnival Day all rolled into one. During these five days, absolutely anything that will not harm another is allowable and in fact, is expected!  It is a wild and wooly period during which quite a few children are conceived, and, in fact, those so conceived usually have "Father Taowyn" put on their birth certificates!

Ennyoth Mountains - Mountain chain in Alazahr that features prominently in its culture.

Ennyoth River - Fed by rains and numerous springs in the mountains, this river pours off the mountains of the same name and runs to the sea.  While blessed with a powerful current, the river is shallow in many points and rarely a safe mode of travel in the land.  A counterpoint to its paucity of travel is it is home to many types of fish, crustaceans and other riverine creatures.  Many a rich foreigner has paid hard coin to dine on the chromatic fish of the Ennyoth River or golden crawlsnake.

Entraghar - Entraghar is a nation of plain dealing, plain speaking folk heavily pressed by their eastern neighbor of Armandoria.

Eonju - A rustic paradise described by Mounavernor duLesmque in his journal of otherworldly travels. Its more redeeming aspect was deemed its sense of peace and the chthonic, gothic-like structures that lay unused everywhere. Many of the structures connected to one another through a series of arcane gates, always prefaced with eerily glittering runes and curving, sky reaching gothic spires. The one sole viper in this paradise was the presence of the vicious cabal enigmatically known as Miminak’s Brood.

Equinus - literally the Year of the Flying Horse.  The fifth year in the Cycle of Years calendar.  Certain symbols were utilized when this way of reckoning was proposed on that fateful day in Arduin when all the people and nations of Khaora sat at the table of peace and hammered out the words that would forever bind them all to a lasting peace.   Fifteen where chosen, and a sixteenth added to represent the dark times that come but (thankfully) once in a thousand years. Even then the guts of the calendar was old and stretched back farther in history than its proposal on the Fields of Pelanorè.

Eru - An ancient and mainly Elven God who is the quintessential omniscient, aloof and cool ‘Father God’. Followers are practitioners of deep meditation and prayer and tend to be very arrogant of their religious superiority.

Eternal War - The world spanning war under the rule of the Free Mages of the Circle (of Light) that was the greatest test of their rule; the wake of this war changed the world forever.

Ethril - Another name for Black Mithril. See the full write up at that location.

Extaercara - Called the Rim of the World, the World Spine, and more prosaically as the fourth continent, this landmass is very narrow and extremely mountainous.  It extends nearly from polar cap to polar cap and sees the entire extreme of Khaas’ weather.  The slopes of the high mountains are dry and bleak, with hidden valleys of nurturing green, fed by seasonal melt and underground rivers.  The mountainous condition of the land generates almost a wasteland except where the slopes of the mountains fall to meet the oceans.  Here lies the little habitable land on the continent.  The great winds blow enough moisture along the eastern coast in the southern hemisphere and the somewhat along the western coast in the northern hemisphere to support the number of city states sprung up along the coastlines over the many years.  Most, if not all of the high mountain expanses of this continent pierce the cloudy layer above, and rarely does anyone see the tops of these lofty mountains.  The vast cloud ceiling that covers the continent is very wet, and at times during the day releases torrential downpours of rain.  This fact often causes flash floods and thin rivulets that run to the ocean turn into raging rivers of great force in mere minutes.  The effect of the sky’s electric strata on the clouds produces a startling array of lights and aurora borealis, something many travelers to the continent remark on, and seems to attract the vast amount of draconic beings that inhabit the mountains and slopes of the continent.

Extaercara - A tiny cult located only in three villages of Gargoyles that reside in the Mountains of Madness

Eye of Kuudrōs - An amulet used by Mounavernor duLesmque to discern the whether an area held a nexus.  Reputedly it held other powers but Mounavernor duLesmque was quiet reticent to note its powers anywhere and rarely mentioned it outside of in passing.  Since Mounavernor duLesmque did not return from his last journey (at least to date), it is presumed either in his possession or lost.
