Fadrik - Fadrik was the founder of one of the first noble lines in
Viruelandia. He fought side by side with
Emperor Liryn the first and was one of his chief trusted aides and generals.
His house is counted among the high nobility even though they are not from
Hufjuen descent.
Fahde the Fair - A small cult located mainly in eastern lands such as Ghorfar and Chund. She is the goddess of gentle spring rains, fair weather, and is the one who cries the tears of the world.
Falxcenweave - extremely
tough material made from Falxcen plants. Falxcen is a plant that only
grows in desert areas heavy in metals and steeped in constant sunlight.
Falhaine - This religion is little seen outside of its home in the Kozangi Dales. In actuality, ‘Falhaine’ is the Kozangi way of saying ‘Allah’ and is what the Confederacy of the Followers of Allah is called in Khaas. A transplant long ago from an analogue terrestrial world, Falhaine found its way into Khaas when the Kozangi Dales ‘gated’ into our world to stay. The religion embraces all the Moslem sects and sets none apart or above any other.
Falin Tigr - An old crumbling fort high in the
Prismatic Mountain range on the Falohyrian side of the mountains.
Unnamed by Falohyr or even considered of note, the fort has a poor reputation and is considered haunted and an abode of undeath.
Falohyr - Falohyr is a vibrant growing feudal monarchy whose lords are always vying with one another
and the nations around it to grow, expand, and become more influential
and powerful in the world.
Fane of Joele's Rebirth -
From the song of Joele Firewarden and the Fall of Tsao. The Fane is
actually a world, one where creatures existed beyond spirits. The song
relates Joele entering the world via the Ornate Gate
of Orchellix after being wounded and near death
from his battle with the Dagonaygles. Confronted with Joele's sudden
appearance, the lord spirits of the world elect to heal Joele instead of
destroying him. After hearing his plea for assistance, they agree to help
him go back to his world in return for his assistance in removing a spiritual
blight on their world. Joele succeeds and is returned home. However,
his trek to this world did not leave him untouched and his time there tempered
his spirit into a powerful thing. So powerful, for instance, that Joele
wrestles a Demiurge of Metal and destroys it later on during the Fall of Tsao.
Fang Wall - A brooding ridge of dark, protruding stone and 10 ft replicas of the black stone
towers ringed with Eldarin runes. More than 20 ley lines meet and cross on Fang Wall and it is the doorway into the lands of the
Seagnzchaylien.
Father of All Demons - Another name
for the deity Abbraxadon.
Feast Law - the
"Amusement Tax" of the country of
Zirhaine, which levies a small tax on any gathering where food or drink is served uncovered; levied also on on the singing cinemas and plays of the land as well.
Fenris - literally
the Year of the Wolf, the ninth year in the Cycle
of Years calendar. Certain symbols were utilized when this way of reckoning was proposed on that fateful day in Arduin when
all the people and nations of Khaora sat at the table of peace and hammered out the words that would forever bind them all to a lasting peace.
Fifteen where chosen, and a sixteenth added to represent the dark times that come but (thankfully) once in a thousand years. Even then the guts of the
calendar was old and stretched back farther in history than its proposal on the Fields of Pelanorè.
Fens of Fear - The fens cover only a small area but it is an
unholy place where overnight, areas can change from solid ground to sucking quicksand and the mists frequently
float heavy and thick over the fens, beguiling the lost into swallowing mud or worse. The beasts that
roam the fens are venomous and deadly, hunting fearlessly any who trespass their domain. It is said to
hear the hunting calls of the feral creatures home to the fens, is to hear the whispers of Death calling.
Fey Finger - White barked tree with a haunting
scent that intoxicates and overwhelms the sense of most creatures. Its leaves are very straight and thin; clustered as they are, and the symmetry of the trees have given the trees the bulk of their sinister and mystical reputation.
Fhedlspaera - the name of the second continent of
Khaas, lost to the dim mists of time
and rarely used by any but scholars and time lost adventurers.
Fields of Pelanorè - the
famous location of the Accords
of Arduin, the peace treaty ending the 10,000 year long Wars
of When. The fields are just outside and south of
the city of Melkalund and a
large representation of the signing is cast in white marble
and aquamarine jade on the field.
Fifth Insurrection of Kings - This
occurred when the greater hordes of barbarians from the north and west pressed the borders of the
Pandooris Empire. Some of the
Pandooris Kings chose to take a different route then wait for the empire to crumble under their advance and rose up against what they saw was an ineffectual central king. They were later joined by the five Kings of the
Ochendur region, which eventually coalesced into the modern day country of
Panduria.
Finback Gap - Narrow strip of water that courses between
Aldoré and the main island of the Misty Isles. While narrow, the gap is deep with a savage undertow and little to no useful
beach area.
Fire Eyes Darkness Weeps - one
of the "early" Arduinian bards, whose voice was so
sweet and compelling it was said the night itself would weep
should she sing (hence the name). While albino and
physically very weak, she participated in the World
Ring Quest and was counted among the six survivors of
the twenty that began the quest in Talismondé.
Firecoal Trees - This
is a short, dense hardwood found in southern Khaora,
distinctive for its blackened, striated bark and acrid smell
when wet. Its leaves are long, spindly, and droop like
Spanish Moss. As its appearance and name suggests, it
burns hot and is often used in the south for this purpose.
Fire Fox Caverns - The tales about this place could fill a book. From exorbitant treasures to miraculous splendors are attributed to the caves, along with equal danger. One fact know for sure is the entrance to the caverns is guarded by a mighty tree, split near in twain, but living: the mythic
Tree of Light and
Shadow. People have spun wild and strange tales about the mountain caverns, stories of ice strewn chilling caves and
glamour spun from glittering dreams of piles of unguarded gems and gold.
Fire Fox Mountain - Fire Fox Mountain hovers of the forest tops of the
Fox Wood, dominant and proud. It glows in places like the forest at night, in an unheard dance with the shining moons above, taking on varying colors in places, and the moons in the sky seem regulate the changes in the shades of color based on which is visible and in what alignment. The strangeness here has drawn many to its thick depths and heights of the mountain, often to their doom.
First Born - typically
a reference to the first, primal creatures created by the Kthoi; also a refers to the Rune
Weavers.
First Faerie Circle - The legendary path by which the Faerie first entered Khaas. Its location is often sought but never been found. Some say it lies in the highest reaches of the world, where the roof of the world scratches the heavens while others say it lies betwixt ice and heat, love and hate, sorrow and wonder.
Fox Haunt Forest -
The largest forest in Saast, this deep wood is ancient and little worked, though
claimed by many nobles in Saast as "their land". hmist ever-present in
Saast climbs most strongly to the forest, especially where its dark reaches
darken even still, to where shadows cling to whatever little light exists in the
Zool Stalk Woods.
Fox Wood - The Fox Woods as a whole are a pleasant place, smallish compared to many other forests but still good sized. Two things dominate the wood, one the large mountain
Fire Fox and the other the
infamous Fire Fox Caverns. People have spun wild and strange tales about the mountain caverns, the surrounding wood, and its inhabitants. Most know it for the
Fire Fox caverns with its chilling insides and rumors of glittering dreams. Legends abound about the
Ovgaukr and Dweollaas, eerie beings that stalk the wood and take heads and souls from the unfortunate, but who believes these things….
Night seems to be the greatest breeding ground for these tales, as darkness falls across the seemingly impenetrable forest it comes alive with spooky sounds and lights. Patches of the wood, especially near the base of the mountain, burn with aurora displays of changing hues and eerie beings stalk the night-shrouded wood. Even the commonest inhabitant of the forest is different in some way, often in a very pernicious way. Bugs burrow into the flesh, plants devour metal, animals are large, fierce and have strange powers or cause a man to sicken and die if the meat is eaten.

Friyyr - Another name for the Temple of Iron god Frey. His golden steeds are legendary; used most widely in Viruelandia
Frothing Cobalt Ocean - Pressed
between the Northern Seas and
the Southern Ocean and spreading
between Extaercara and Laenkrwat is
Frothing Cobalt Ocean. The ocean here is exceptionally turbulent and
aching blue. It includes numerous other tributary waters. Climatically
it is very turbulent with rogue winds and changing current, wind and air pressure domes
creating chaotic, fast changing, dangerous regions. The average depth of the
ocean is 13,000 feet in depth but with numerous shallow points and submarine ridges.
Frozen Hells -
region of the Heaven Wall
Mountain chain that extends into Saast. The
mountains here are desolate and steep but home to several national mines for
gems and building stone.
