Jaiquell - This god has many pseudonyms: "Old Nimblequick",
"No-See-Um", "Quickly-Quickly", and "Ticklepurse" to name a few. His followers are called the Thieves Heart Cult
and are draw from everyone though Humans, Amazons, Hobbitts, and Khai-Zirin are common. His sign is a
round happy face, black on one side, white on the other, with a grin missing one tooth and three lone hairs upon the top.
Considered totally "Neutral", this god is the patron of thieves worldwide and a very powerful and overt
political force in many nations. Probably the most popular low-class religion in many nations especially
since it is not well organized but ran by many semi-official and wildly varying cells in a haphazard manner.
This decentralization is a key tenet to the religion and part of worshipping Jaiquell is the challenge just to figure
out what tenets and truth espoused is the correct one.
Jazanda - Jazanda is the melting pot of the
region, inasmuch as her people move with ponderous slowness towards full unity. Jazanda is the
northmost of the Motherland City States and often
quarrels with Panduria over land disputes.
Jinberyl Macornyn - An adventurer and
rogue of women out of Chrysolia. Not fitting in the society
of his homeland, Jinberyl left and made a name for himself as a traveler, warrior, and daring
adventurer. After several trips on
the Great Wurm Road, Jinberyl penned a short discourse
on his travels that saw fair circulation in Arduin, and surprisingly, his homeland too.
Joej of Viruelandia - A
Mark of the House of Fadrik,
son in the line of Koes. In this noble line,
at least one son or daughter has born the famous blade
Do-khadu since the founding of the Viruelandian
Empire.
(The) Great Jo'oka - Forgotten
demigod from outside the world who had a thriving following in the island
kingdoms of the Southern Ocean. A
plague of disease and the wrath of another god ended this demigod's
following long ago and little beyond rotting forgotten ruins are left to
show the grip it once had in the region.
Jothar De Linden - The half-brother
of King Elric and one time head
of the House of the Rising Sun in Arduin. Jothar
lost all titles and his noble house after he betrayed King Elric and plotted
to have him slain and worse. While his evil acts have overshadowed his
early history, at one time he was a hero of the land and well known for many deeds.
Jurakk - One of the old gods. The Demon Horse is the patron deity
of all centaurs and equines and for many of the nomadic horse peoples over the eons. Only
Shadazzrha could ever tame his wild heart and ride him. Jurakk is described
as a coal black horse with a breath of flame and hooves of sparkling silver, whose fiery blue eyes could freeze any
adversary into solid ice with but a single glance. 120 feet long (and proportionate), this huge equine’s
most notable feature is its total, unremitting hatred of all humanoids (save for Shadazzrha). It is truly
free-spirited and the embodiment of all that is chaotic in the Multiverse. Many centaur clans still worship
the Demon Horse.
Jubales Muou - a Dreamweaver and friend of Mounavernor. Little is know about this enigmatic fellow, other than he seems to have dreamed up his own world and is known to both gods and demons.
Jusef - One of the three rogues whom
self referred to themselves as the Hands of Filtēdos. Who or what Filtēdos is
or was is unknown, but anyone with the barest understanding of three could likely guess
it was part of some grand joke, jest, or pun pointing at
someone. Kiret, Corelwen,
and Jusef were always hatching some kind of scheme and spent the bulk of their
lives in pursuit of one grand "quest" or another, seeking out, finding and "borrowing"
quite a few things. In their last cycle of years in Khaas, they did so in
the "name of the king of Arduin". This was
something King Elric took in poor jest. He spoke to
them about it, in person…not too long before their disappearance from the scene…hmmm…
Justinorn - This god is also called ‘The Divider’, ‘Dark Judge’, or even
‘Old Split’. Mainly an eastern religion centered on Ghorfar and the defunct
Sarkeshi Empire, it is a dark and
foreboding religion heavy on vengeance, retribution, and getting even. Justinorn’s symbol is a sword crackling
with lightning. Justinorn’s priests all carry the ‘Book of Law’, which provides rules for every activity in life.
They are entrusted with the authority to enforce every detail of the multitude of rules found in this massive
tome. Temples of Justinorn maintain massive torture chamber complexes for ‘enforcing the law’. Holy
days are the fifth and 25th of every month, and on these days ‘offenders’ are given public and private trails to
establish their innocence (usually ending in their death). Humans, Dwarves and Wolflings hearken the
most to this deities fold, though for those who see the law as the means to an end and are not above sacrifice and
bloodshed typically find Justinorn a fitting and proper god. Its political power far outweighs its
lack of numbers.
