Kahar Kainlahain - Mythic Elven hero that slew the demigod Lobos during the Heaven Siege.  This hero slew the demigod using the blued notes of the harp Star Tongue to "rasp the divine flesh from his bones, strip the sinew from his heart, and shatter the bones of his body, till all was dust blowing in the grey winds coming off the Mythic Mountains..."

Kalesh - Kalesh is a monarchy that was one part of the larger nation of Krinnabröeng, split over a conflict between the blooded heirs.

Kavring - Greater Demon that is the current uncontested lord of all lesser fire beings.

Keizerin - While plain and unattractive, she was full of fire and had an acidic voice that could flay the hide off a boruu.  A rune singer of great power, she had been bested only once; sung duels with demons, wrestled riddles with Sphynx and once wooed the stars in the sky of a distant world into a conjunction that opened the door back home.

Khaas - this refers to the planet and the world at times.  Many times in previous articles and writings David Hargrave used Arduin as synonymous with Khaas.

Khai-Zirin - The Khai-Zirin were once a starfaring race known for great martial prowess. They came to Khaas 1,350 years ago, crashing their disabled starship in a place called the Green Hell. The crew, mostly overage male nurses and young kittens, found it difficult to survive in this brutal jungle environment. They adapted, or they died, and their descendants have slowly evolved into quite a different breed.

The months, in order, all called: Tor, Ator, Vaen, Torvaen, Kos, Torkos , Skord, Torskord, Zar, Torzar, Ghast, Torghast, Chund, Torchund and Khoros, or the End Year month.

Khorsar - This land is vibrant and strong, rich in history, national pride, and filled with fierce people unyielding to any hand but their own on the path to fulfill their grand destiny. Set above Arduin in the very heartland of Khaora, Khorsar is a power on the continent many have felt over the years.

Khorsarian Rebellion of Jhgu - short lived rebellion a cycle and one half past that ended almost as quickly as it sprung into being.

Khorst - Khorst is avoided for the draconic ties that bind the city-nation to the dragons that once terrorized the seas in the Sun Moon Gulf.

Khrom - This is a religion regulated primarily to the barbaric and wild areas of the world. In practice, the religion is very much like Eru but with grimmer and darker overtones (i.e., closer to a war god).

Khronos - This religion, at one point epitomized the entire manifestation of time. However, this deity has pretty much been regulated to a minor or demi-god status by the greater god called Tarong. With just a few followers, most in the more ancient empires and nations, it is a religion seemingly fated to disappear in the next few cycles.

Khrysterios - Literally, the Arduinian translation of ‘Jesus Christ’ and is what the League of the Followers of Christ call him. While Protestant in style, it does contain Catholic and all other ‘Christian’ faiths within its ranks. The religion is currently undergoing a fierce internal struggle between the majority Lutheran adherents and the lesser-numbered Catholic members for dominance of the Council of Prophets (this religion’s ruling body). At this point, it is too early to say which will win this internal conflict. This is a recent crossover religion from the nexus, originally taking root in Arduin but spreading across Khaas in the last one hundred years or so.

Kierkamé Lands - These asian peoples lay north of the Hell Wind Mountains and west of the Tuchukk Lands. They are masters of the bow and small axe, using both with great effectiveness. The Kierkamé occasionally drift into civilized lands and even more infrequently into history and song.

Kindokono - An island kingdom located in the Orichalcum Ocean. Rumors have placed it in many places in that large body of water, though most believe it lies somewhere in the waters of the Nine Tooth Sea. The steel forged in that island is some of the best in Khaas and is worth about 500 times an equal amount of gold.

King's Roads - The primary roads in Arduin are known as the King's Roads.  they are entirely paved with cobblestones, slightly convex in shape, 20 ft. wide with drainage ditches on either side.  All bridges on these roads are stone arches, well built and annually maintained.  The roads themselves see dutiful maintenance as well and are kept in excellent repair.

Kiret - One of the three rogues whom self referred to themselves as the Hands of Filtēdos.  Who or what Filtēdos is or was is unknown, but anyone with the barest understanding of three could likely guess it was part of some grand joke, jest, or pun pointing at someone.  Kiret, Corelwen, and Jusef were always hatching some kind of scheme and spent the bulk of their lives in pursuit of one grand "quest" or another, seeking out, finding and "borrowing" quite a few things. In their last cycle of years in Khaas, they did so in the "name of the king of Arduin".  This was something King Elric took in poor jest.  He spoke to them about it, in person…not too long before their disappearance from the scene…hmmm…

The months, in order, all called: Tor, Ator, Vaen, Torvaen, Kos, Torkos , Skord, Torskord, Zar, Torzar, Ghast, Torghast, Chund, Torchund and Khoros, or the End Year month.

Koes -  A son of the the House of Fadrik.  He was counted so faithful and true to his duty and word that none could tempt him, none could sway him, even death.  It is told that this was so often said that death grew weary of hearing it and took him up on it.

Khonthul Goërm - Also known as the Riven Moon Prophecy. A foretelling of doom that speaks of a time when Skonchune’s Raiment shall turn red as blood and stars shall fall from the heavens, sundering the White Moon in twain and bringing an end to Khaora as we know it.

Who or what slew him is lost to the mists of time but the curse he left on the entire mountain is still felt.  Its power brought the hordes that destroyed Rhingalore and curses anyone who sets foot on the mountain, especially those that take anything from its ruins.

Ku’odl Nine-Eyed - A Goblin of varying reputation, though typically towards the nefarious and bad sort. A creature of diverse appetites and intense paranoia, he was heavily dislike by authorities for his diversions and sick mind. He was quite a sight, typically dreshed in a mishmash of horrible colors, necklaces of claws and scales; all further confounded by the thick band of red steel that wrapped around his head, covering from cheeck to forehead. The band had nine jeweled eyes all around and Ku'odl obviously used them to see. So terrible had his appetites grown, that a contingent of the 174th Legion out of Viruelandia (the Prancing Shaia) was dispatched to end his foulness. The battle to take his fortress was called the Battle of 7 Wheels and 3 Flames.

Kut - A thick bodied beetle about the size of a man's fist used as a food source by the people of Saast.

Kyocco - Tough polymer-ceramic mix of Kyroceran used in Thaelrastian spaceships. Polishable to a point beyond mirror reflectiveness and contains remarkable thermal resistant properties.

Kyr - Kyr is a rich society of horse clans who gave up the traditional nomadic life on the grassy plains for a more settled life. They are frequently referred to as the Horse Clans or their land of Kyr is called the Horse Lands.

Kyroceran - This is not truly a metal, but a ceramic that is polished steel gray in color and equal to mithril in strength. Used almost exclusively by the Thaelrastian slaver race in their weapons and tools.
