Pallid Plains - the mist covered plains of Khandruzia. Its earth is a chalkier white than even the surrounding soil and crazed, unearthly creatures roam its purple grasses.
Pandoori - the Pandoori
as a people supposedly entered the world at the same time
as the cataclysm that split the land that would become the Misty
Isles from the continent and spawned the Cerulean
Sea. They were tall and angular, swarthy skinned
with clear, hawkish features, black hair and eyes.
Pandooris Empire - eastern
coastal empire that left footprints of their rule with stone
monuments and buildings, and a zest and vivacity of life
found in many of the east coast cultures and people.
The Pandoori gnawed at the guts of the
Quawima Empire and inherited much of the land and power of
that empire as it fell. They had numerous secessionist
wars in their final ten-cycle (150 years) of dominion.
Each was called the Insurrection
of Kings and are important historically: for instance,
out of the Fifth
Insurrection of Kings came the country of Panduria.
Pandooris Kings - the
Pandoori were ruled by one high
king and numerous regional kings, and were often referred to
as the Pandooris Kings. These were the true nobility
of the Pandooris Empire and their great zest for life and
insatiable thrust for life sent them into conflict with each
other as much as those around them.
Panduria - eastern
coastal country formed out of the Pandooris Empire by the Fifth
Insurrection of Kings.Panduria is an older nation that is still vibrant in the face of several recent invasions, plagues, and economic downfalls.
Panduria-Misty Isles War - The long war that started with the
Misty Isles invading Panduria and ended with a four-way war with the nations of
Orguria and Altala as well. The Misty Isles would have well taken the
length of Panduria had not secessionist elements in the Misty Isles’ forces acted to the contrary. The entrance of Altala and
Orguria swung the tide against the Misty Isles and ended their invasion while forming the nation of Jazanda
from the secessionist elements of the Misty Isles.
Pantheon of the Cards - This religion sprung from the deities of the Tarot Cards. Small in numbers but worldwide in scope, this religion is known for its refusal to build any temples, calling their personal decks of cards ‘temples’. Each follower chooses one Patron Card / Deity and takes on the attributes of the card. This pseudonym for the individual followers stems back to the early arrival / acknowledgement of this odd religion. The original devotees to their decks were also called Taroteers, and their chaotic arrangement and organization slowly coalesced in the religion as it stands today.
Pax Romana - This religious pantheon is a crossover from the terrestrial world and truly runs the range of all the earthly gods and goddess of Earth’s Roman Pantheon of deities with all their diversity. This religion is worldwide in scope but possesses only few numbers of followers.
Peacock Twins of Destruction - beautiful twin swords wielded by the warrior
Nabhan of Chrysolia. Nabhan never revealed where he discovered them, other than to say it was in a place “distant from Chrysolia, where water was as common as the mountains [of our country] and the tongue of dragons was always on the wind”. One was a beautiful, pale translucent blue while the other was a gorgeous cherry tinted gold. Both had a greatly adorned hilt of gold, aurebony and platinum formed like a bird’s head with a long, feathery neck (as a pommel). They were said to
be able to shear through high grade steel like cheese, vibrate in the presence of danger and burn with the powers of cold, heat, lightning or sound at the call of its wielder.
Pearl House - town in Arduin known for many things, not the least of which is Arduin's most famous ale.
Pearl House Sawbacks -
group of nine intrepid wanderers who based their adventurers (loosely) out of
Pearlhouse but roved across most of Khaora. Their last grand adventure took them
into the Great Wurm Road through a vent near
the Whimpering Child Mound.
Pegus - This is an extremely small sect (less than 300 members worldwide) begun less than 120 years ago (revived, actually). It’s the God of Daffodils (which is also how it is symbolized). Little is known about them save that the followers to this deity travel the world planting—daffodils.
Phaordion - One of the old gods. Known as the "Star Lion", this god was the Overlord of the fifth
continent's pantheon of deities, the Father God ruled by wielding the Power of the Stars and is described as a 60 feet tall
man-like Humanoid with golden mane and fur, a lion's head and tail; claws and fangs of sparkling Adamantium and eyes of
Star Flame. He is occasionally referred to as "The Lawgiver" but is most remembered for his terrible roar whose
very vibration, it is said, could ‘sunder the very stars in the heavens, into tiny fragments.’ Finally, in the
later end times of his glory days he also assumed the role of patron deity of all felines and cat folk. It is the
latter who still, by and large, worship him.
Phatellus - literally
the Year of the Phantelope. The twelfth year in the Cycle
of Years calendar. Certain symbols were utilized when this way of reckoning was proposed on that fateful day in Arduin when
all the people and nations of Khaora sat at the table of peace and hammered out the words that would forever bind them all to a lasting peace.
Fifteen where chosen, and a sixteenth added to represent the dark times that come but (thankfully) once in a thousand years. Even then the guts of the
calendar was old and stretched back farther in history than its proposal on the Fields of Pelanorè.
Piadahr - Only Elves follow this
chaotic, "hotheaded" deity. This ancient,
Elven demigod taught the Elven race to sing. Piadahr is a
bigoted godlet, and allows only Elves to ‘worship’ him. He also hates all
non-Elven Bards and Rune Singers.
Plains of Paranon - The rolling grass plains have long held a place in history as a focus of great warfare and equally great commerce. Often thought of as the heart of Arduin life and crisscrossed with roads and routes, the Plains of Paranon support the lifeblood of the country’s trade. Large portions of Arduin’s armed forces patrol the land, air, and waters of the rolling Plains of Paranon to guard this precious resource. The plains are of the utmost strategic importance to Arduin since they not only hold a majority of the domesticated animals used for meat, but also to a large degree are the commercial nerve center for the country. As densely populated and civilized the plains are, there are vast areas of wild and untouched virgin areas. Vast consisting of primarily rolling plains, there are also deep forests, woods, swamps and mountains that break up the thick sea of grass.
Plateau of Forever - a
plateau in northern Arduin
where randomly occurring nexus
activity is drawn to the massive, basalt menhirs on its
surface. This is the most commonly accessed
'portal' for strangers of other worlds and times to
enter Arduin and Khaas.
Plateau of the Gods - the plateau rises up into the thick covering of clouds that seem to perpetually hang over the cold, chilled
Northern Reaches. No other place in
Khaora, or indeed the breadth of
Khaas is like this mighty reach of stone, though a few others meet or exceed its height or breadth. Known equally as
God Home, this forbidding colossal mound of rock consists largely of tableland broken up by structural faults. The average elevation of the plateau is 27,600 feet above sea level.
Prismatic Mountains - Towering mountain chain in the west of
Arduin, well known for its multihued soil and stones.
Puck - The Laughing God is a favorite to many races. His sign is always three floating balls, red, blue, green, above a jester’s hat and any who see that symbol know some joke, prank, or trick is afoot. Puck is the ultimate god of practical jokes, and laughter, pranks, and tricks are the fare of this worldwide but thankfully small religion. While the antics of Puck’s followers are truly chaotic, they are good at heart. Puck sets aside no special days as every day are seen as holidays!
P'Vanz - The Perverse One is the god of contrariness, stubbornness, and very nonconformist sexual practices. The followers to this strange cult have their temples in the southeastern coastal cities of the fifth continent of Archaela.
Pylomere Mountains - Mountains south of the Heaven Wall Mountains that extend into the Withered Lands.
Pytchar - city-state
on the coast of Archaela with a powerful College of Magik
that dominates the city and its politics.
