Vaalguard - the city is known for its gladiatorial games, days-long festivals, and very lively nightlife. There are three arenas / amphitheatres with games daily in the city and one rural pit setup outside the walls. Festivals and parties are a constant in the city and they will often consume entire blocks for days. Nightlife in Vaalguard is ranked among one of the liveliest in Khaora and many come to partake in her games, festivals, or revelry that seems to be nonstop.

Vaen -  There are 15 months, for a total of 450 days in the year, not including Tai Taowyn or End Year, which is a five-day period of "non-time" that takes care of the odd orbital period around the sun of 455 days. The months, in order, all called: Tor, Ator, Vaen, Torvaen, Kos, Torkos , Skord, Torskord, Zar, Torzar, Ghast, Torghast, Chund, Torchund and Khoros, or the End Year month.

Vale of Athiqui - Small vale in Khorsar, mainly of little repute until great gates to hellish and nether regions opened and poured out an army of darkness.  Here, nineteen souls fought the might of hell and stood as shields of light against the unholy hordes until the courage of a few rolled back the night that birthed the army and slammed shut the door to hell.

Valley of Corrupted Magik - This vale in Viruelandia lies high in the Silver Boar Mountains near the source of the Sküix River. Few travel to this odd place, as magik twists and contorts, taking on visible patterns in the air, dancing and gyrating to the same music that compels great chunks of earth to equally hang and move effortlessly in the air. Even water is not immune to this effect and streams splash and move without support, winding and twining around unseen obstacles in the sky. Nexus activity is also present here, fast decaying gates are the norm, and at times, the whole vale lights up in fast moving nexus storms.

Valley of Madness - the quite famous and deadly valley between the Gibbering and Madness Mountains

Valley of Owls - valley in Höhenaré known for its great golden owls.

Valthar - One of the older eastern coastal lands but one stifled under the dominating grip of others for many cycles. In present times, Valthar has vibrantly grabbed the horns of destiny and seeks to gain prominence in the region.

Vanaan - The attendants to the everlasting flame are called the League of Life (collectively), or Lifers. They serve the Eternal Flame (another common name for Vanaan) with a devotion and fervor on an individual level matched by few other religions. Those who convert or follow the flame of life are among the zealous in act, and application of its tenets. All races find a home in the heat of Vanaan, though most of of a 'good' or 'lawful' bent. Many see Vanaan as a counterpart (and a quite similar deity) to Ta-Taru with but a single, strange temple high on top a mighty ‘God Tree’ in the fabled Sky Trees region of the Great Green Wall. This is the center of the religion, and the actual place of the flame seen as the representation of Vanaan in the world. All decisions flow from this center to across the world, eventually arriving at the outermost outposts of adherents on the other continents and remote places of the world. The group is numerous, worldwide and staunch in its ever-constant struggle of light vs. dark and chaos vs. law. Adherents tend to see things in black and white with no shades of gray.

Vangi - this is both a language and a race of people.  The Vangi were the primary Humans on the second continent and were scattered across the globe after its sinking at the terminus of the Great Night War.

Varferià - literally ‘shredded cloak’ in Taghorean, it is a semi-stiff cuff slipped over the arm to the shoulder with dozens of strips of heavy leather with metal or flint studs on the strips. Used to tangle or catch blades in place of a shield in battle while leaving the hands free.

Vargalla - Vargalla is a trading power on the edge of Khaora fighting for dominance with other maritime nations to control trade in the region. They are fiercely expansionistic, digging into the unclaimed lands of the jungle and the fierce wild lands around the Gibbering Mountains.

Vaults, The - a dangerous hypogeum in the Cairngorm Mountains of the Rainbow Isles. When the sky fire rained from the heavens, it peppered the lands in many places. The Cairngorm Mountains on Avonglen Isle were struck the worst, the high peaks of several mountains shattered and rained down the slopes like pebbles tossed by gods. Investigation of the mountains many cycles afterward revealed strange metal and stone doorways leading into vast hypogeum below the mountains. The queens have banned entrance since the loss of hundreds of Amazons investigating the interior.

Vault of Night Sun - The vault is a place referenced briefly by Jinberyl Macornyn in his book on the Great Wurm Road.  One of the places he mentions in the book is a deep hypogeum he found during one of his treks.  Sometime during the penning of his book, he bequeathed the name on the vast place.  He spoke as if it was filled with a darkness that seemed almost alive.  His exact words were, "…the air was still, almost as if it was claimed by something other than us.  Our footsteps raised the barest plumes of thick dust from the irregular stone beneath us and the light from our lamps seemed to fade as we went.  The darkness crept in, almost like a tangible thing, taking on a presence both chilling and malignant, like the heavy sight of some great beast was bearing down on us or heavy rays from some sun fashioned of darkness…"

Vedic Mysteries - This religion is the Hindu-Vedic religions of our own Earth, from Krishna to Shiva. There are a few followers everywhere, the majority found in Arduin though rumors crop up from time to time of a horrid ‘Shiva Death Cult’ in full flower somewhere in the deadly jungles of the Green Hell.

Veldoar - Six days comprise a week, usually called a Sixday or Zedra.  The individual days of the Zedra are Mordag, Taenwal, Wurdigan, Veldoar, Sarmaht, and Qwain, in that order.

Victrix - literally the Year of the Warrior.  The third year in the Cycle of Years calendar.  Certain symbols were utilized when this way of reckoning was proposed on that fateful day in Arduin when all the people and nations of Khaora sat at the table of peace and hammered out the words that would forever bind them all to a lasting peace.   Fifteen where chosen, and a sixteenth added to represent the dark times that come but (thankfully) once in a thousand years. Even then the guts of the calendar was old and stretched back farther in history than its proposal on the Fields of Pelanorè.

Vilal Kynnyn - the first monarch of Ithalos, whose reign is a time of myth and legend in Ithalos.  Supposedly, he ruled during the time of the Great Night War and was unmatched on the battle field.

Viridia - Viridia is only recently broken away from Malvia over discord regarding its use of Orcish mercenaries. The presence of Orcs was untenable and so the Elves departed.

Viruelandia - largest nation on Khaora’s surface and Arduin’s eastern neighbor.  This nation led the formation of the Accords of Arduin that ended the Nexus Wars.  Viruelandia is a dynamic, cultured land driven by expansion and skilled at diplomacy. They are willing to patiently win lands by politics as well as force of arms. Wildly varied in its people and cultures, Viruelandia is governed well through its extensive policies and its open, but very firm, outlooks on life, magik, and technology. The state and the crown keep a tight hold on everything from commerce and religion, to warring and magik use.

Vorangé - Ambitious nation with ruthless intentions, seeking to reclaim lands of an old empire whose true existence lies in doubt.

Vrititz - A Thralian hero out of myth. He quested to slay the Greater Demon Oggirdon, trekking across three continents, the expanses of three worlds, and even wooing the Greater Demoness Urandos to forge the magik weapon potent enough to slay Oggirdon.
