Walk of Mothormortis - The song about this hero's journey into the deep south.  It ends where he mistakenly bears witness to the battling of three gods and is so distraught with the conflict that he ends his life by plunging into the deep waters of the Southern Ocean.

Walkureen's Girdle -  Chain of asteroids in Khaas' sky.

Wanton Wing - The name of Quartzo's flying ship. Rumor says he gave her the name after she was stolen from him four times and he had to buy, kill or steal her back. Supposedly, it was the second one that bestowed the name on her, when he had a devil of a time getting the ship. He was so disgusted after giving chase across the sky of two continents, he called her a "wanton whore next to no other". Since the ship was semi-sentient, it supposedly took a good seven months of wooing to get her to listen to his will! Still, the name stuck stuck and became a joke of sorts between Quartzo and the ship.

Waoroah - A world dominated by a white city, tall and high in the sky, carved from a single mountain made entirely of pristine snowy white marble. The sky is an aquamarine hue with a triple sun, one perpetually three-quarters eclipsed by a great moon, another a dim greenish ball and the last a bluish burning fire, never quenched on the horizon.

Waraluu - This faith is banned mostly worldwide but persists in small numbers everywhere. As a Banshee-like deity, it comes personally to collect its dead followers, and haunts battlefields looking for ‘lost souls’. A variety of races follow this deity and those who care for little beyond death, killing and ‘the selfish desires of their own hearts’ always are welcome to this deities embrace.

War of Spawning Kraken - 11-year conflict against the wave of attacks by kraken in the Western Ocean. the brunt of the war was fought by the forces of the Isles of Fire and the Cirthian League. The resultant treaty struck between the two less than a year after the war was the start of a flow of people between the two island countries. It also cemented strong relations between the two and gave the Isles of Fire a favored status the Cirthian League has lent to no other.

War of the One - The long dark war of the world against the hellish hand of Caliban.

Wars of When - the 10,000 year war that waged over the Arduin Nexus and almost destroyed civilization on Khaora.

Weeping Wood - Before the Nexus Wars, the Weeping Wood held a different name, the Forest of Flame. It burned with the vivid vermilion and scarlet petals of the flowers and butterflies that nested here. It was place of beauty and life, which changed forever in the first battles of the Nexus Wars. The role the Forest of Flame played during the Nexus Wars was one of bloody repetition. Ambush after skirmish, battle after conflict would see the bones, blood and gore of innumerable Human, Elves and more resting under the earthy loam. This hideous harvest would earn the forest the appellation of the Forest of Tears or the Weeping Woods. This broad expanse of forest ranges over 80 miles long and 75 miles wide, making it one of the largest wooded areas in Arduin. Parts of it are truly beautiful with cathedrals created of tree boughs, enchanting flows of streams and waterways and other wondrous sights. In other places, it seems as though the very earth itself disdains life and feeds on blood and bone; turned twisted and unhallowed by horrors born there.

Western Straits - narrow area where the Silvandian Sea pours into the Western Ocean

It is rife with oddness and in the voices of the wood some say you can hear the calls of those trapped beyond the soft eternal surcease of death.

Whistle Doom Mountains - The stretch of these mountains tops the north part of the kingdom like a deadly crown and is avoided by most of the inhabitants. Vegetation and trees grow poorly here, and the animals avoid the mountains. Lime, phosphates, and salt crust the earth at the base of the mountains, expanding in alluvial fans. The slopes are cut with sinuous marble canyons created from flash floods and often ending in broad washes crusted with coats of heavy minerals. The Whistle Dooms are the source of many bogeymen, the unhealthy abode of dark and evil spirits, muttering and hissing their anger and hate at the world.

They were out bred, slain or driven off most of the fertile lands by the influx of peoples following the Interstellar Wars. The majority of them exists around the nation of Malgoreem and scattered about the continent. In Malgoreem, they are segregated from the "civilized" Malgoreem due to their open reverence for were-creatures of all kinds, respecting this ability as a gift of the gods instead of some vile inflicted curse.

Withered Lands - desiccated and wilted land strewn with ruins and dangerous inhabitants in western Khaora.

Wobra - Emerald green bat-winged cobras with ruby red eyes.  They both spit venom and inject it via their hollow fangs and flock like birds.  Similar to modern sharks, they also frenzy as well at the scent of blood.

Wonkitra - something akin to a forest leopard with tentacles and a nasty disposition found in the high snowy north of Khaora.

Woods of Willow Fire - The forest is approximately 14-miles long and 10-miles wide at its broadest and dominated by willow trees of all varieties, especially the pillow, black, and weeping willows.  Silver-glowing strands of silk thickly cover the boughs of willows, where it gathers in incomprehensible patterns, drooping curtains, and suspended canopies.  The entire wood burns with a silvery fire, whether in the light of the sun or the radiant beams of the moons.  In the forest, where the vegetation and trees do not grow thick and wild, the silk gathers in the open spaces, completing a near impassable wall of the three.   Willow Wurms are numerous and mobile throughout the trees, surviving on the vegetation and the occasional animal or person.

World Ring Quest - in the budding growth that buzzed in Talismondé following Arduin's declaration as a new kingdom, twenty stalwart and brave souls stood proud before the first new king in Arduin and swore solemn and great oaths to circumvent the globe or die trying.  Many and great tales are told of those times and after 19 years of hard travel--travel that winnowed their ranks and decimated their number, six returned to Talismondé to live up to their oaths.  Of the ranks of the twenty, these are counted their names:  Meryl Arcusi, the Chorynth Trader who could pass up not coin; Sharakka Moonglory, Elven Warrioress, called to shine the grandeur of all that was Elven once again; Euralok Foehewer, Talafarian Knight to whom no portal was a barrier and an enemy insurmountable; Carethé Ironsun, Morvaenian General and noble, who twice turned away from marriage and never once from victory; Khaddonnigûn Ironforge, also called the thrice souled; Rowena-la Shikken, Misty Isles Noble Warrioress and Amazon, mother to the Spear of the Mountain; Konrad Vutatka, Tharkhalan through and through and equally warrior; Nadir Swiftestwind, Falohyrian Priest and wielder of the Palapine Otterax; Ordred Coldblade, Viruelandian Noble and cousin to the Emperor-King; Fire Eyes Shadow Weeps, master bard and called the "Voice of the World"; Ashelwarl Berylmott, part Faerie, part man, all hunger and venom; Daggog Hell Fang, Orc with the blood of gods in his veins; Galynda Death Arrow, whose bow never failed; Calwyn Staroak, defender of the world and the stars; Helmstorm Starfall, wielder of the Nine Magiks and Unspoken Word; Gogbill Ironfoot, Hobbitt adventurer and slayer of the Troll Prince of the Singing Caves; Arhaen Moonsilver, the hand which is never seen; Malven Swiftspear, Vengeance of the Wood and Morldak's Revenge; Varia WildEyes, Female, and nothing more; Macefall MountainSplitter, famed for his tremendous strength and adamantine mace.
